Program requirements

In order to graduate you must:

  • Complete 1 major (8 courses) from the Arts majors listed below.
  • Complete 1 minor (4 courses) from the Arts minors listed below.
  • Complete 3 electives from the School of Communication or School of Social Sciences.
  • Complete 9 required courses
  • Complete 7 advanced level (200/300 coded) elective courses from the School of Business
  • Complete 1 elective from either Faculty
  • Complete no more than 5 introductory level (100 coded) courses from the 15 required School of Communication or School of Social Sciences courses.
  • Complete no more than the 6 required introductory level (100 coded) courses from the 15 required Business courses.
  • Complete no more than 15 introductory level (100 coded) courses in total, including the core course.

  • Register your selected Major and Minor with your Faculty.
Program notes
  • Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48 unit points per semester (normally 4 courses).
  • Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods including essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests and examinations. Not all courses will necessarily include all methods.
  • As part of your USC program, you may apply to Study Overseas to undertake courses with an overseas higher education provider. It is advisable to contact your Faculty Program Advisor to discuss timing and course issues.
  • Only a full-time study option is available to international students on a Student Visa.
