Cleaner energy - Veolia
With a relationship stemming back to the early 2000s, UniSC and Veolia's shared vision of innovation and sustainability led to the development of a project aimed at reducing the University's energy use by up to 40 percent. The water battery constructed on the UniSC Sunshine Coast campus features more than 6,000 solar panels and a 4.5 ML thermal energy storage tank.

In our region
The Sunshine Coast Regional Economic Development Strategy (REDS) 2013 – 2033 was developed via a partnership between Sunshine Coast Council, State Government and local business and industry partners to guide and facilitate economic development in the region. After a period of significant growth and change within the region, a review of the REDS is currently underway. Michael Campbell from Lucid Economics facilitated consultations with local business and industry leaders that will help to inform the direction of the REDS.
