In this program you gain a strong grounding in business and have the flexibility to design the degree to suit your needs. Foundation courses include economics, management, marketing, research methods, accounting, business law and ethics, and informatics. You then choose courses in specialised streams, generally to gain in-depth knowledge in one discipline (major) and broad knowledge in another discipline (minor).
Career opportunities
Depending on the major chosen: business management, human resource management, marketing management, market research, international business, importing/exporting, industrial relations, tourism and hospitality management, retail/sales, computing, systems analysis.
Professional recognition
Students and graduates may become members/associate members of various Australian professional bodies depending on their study specialisations.

In order to graduate you must:
- Complete a minimum of 24 courses including all core and required courses listed below.
- (Optional) Use electives to complete a major or minor.
- Register any selected Majors and Minors with Student Administration.

- Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48 unit points per semester (normally 4 courses).
- Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods including essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests and examinations. Not all courses will necessarily include all methods.
- As part of your USC program, you may apply to participate in the Global Opportunities (GO) Program to undertake courses with an overseas higher education provider. It is advisable to contact your Program Advisor to discuss timing and course issues.
