Student Handbook, Semester 1, 2010: Graphic design and multimedia

The following qualifications provide credit into the Bachelor of ArtsBachelor of Computer-Based DesignBachelor of Arts (Design and Communication) or the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business (Design and Marketing). Students may also be eligible for credit towards other degree programs.

Design College Australia

Graduates of Design College Australia will receive credit as follows:

A student who has successfully completed the Advanced Diploma in Visual Communication or Advanced Diploma in Visual Communication (Graphic Design) will receive 12 courses credit towards the USC's Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Design and Communication) or Bachelor of Computer-Based Design as follows:

  • DES101 Visual Literacy: Design Principles and Practice
  • DES102 Ways of Seeing: Understanding Images
  • DES103 Digital Photographic Practice
  • DES105 Introduction to Design
  • DES106 Typography
  • DES211 Graphic Design A

A student who has successfully completed the Advanced Diploma in Visual Communication or Advanced Diploma in Visual Communication (Graphic Design) will receive 10 courses credit towards the USC combined program Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business (Design and Marketing) as follows:

QANTM Diploma of Multimedia

QANTM Diploma of Multimedia graduates receive credit for:

  • DES105 Introduction to Design
  • DES221 e-Media A
  • DES222 e-Media B
  • 2 introductory Arts electives
  • 2 advanced Design courses
  • 1 core course

TAFE Diploma of Graphic Design

Graduates of the TAFE Diploma of Graphic Design receive credit for:
