Choose to major in creative advertising, journalism, creative writing or public relations, giving you a broader set of skills when you graduate. Work with real clients on campus either through our in-house advertising agency Digitall or through projects with industry mentors. Gain internship opportunities giving you access to potential employers and experience for your resume.
Travel overseas through a short-term international study tour — the most recent of which went to New York — or by doing a semester abroad through the Study Overseas program.

Program requirements
In order to graduate you must:
- Complete 6 required introductory level (100 coded) courses.
- Complete 14 required communication courses towards 2 majors or 1 major and 2 minors.
- Complete 4 elective courses.
- Complete no more than 10 introductory level (100 coded) courses, including the core course.
- Complete no more than 6 courses from the School of Business or Faculty of Science, Health, Education and Engineering.
- Register any selected Majors or Minors with your Faculty.

- Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48 unit points per semester (normally 4 courses).
- Required introductory courses may count toward some majors and minors.
- Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods including essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests and examinations. Not all courses will necessarily include all methods.
- As part of your USC program, you may apply to Study Overseas to undertake courses with an overseas higher education provider. It is advisable to contact your Faculty Program Advisor to discuss timing and course issues.
