Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science is a combined program that enables you to undertake studies in Arts, Social Sciences, and Science.
In this degree you can develop a wide skill base with many career opportunities, by combining complementary specialisations such as community work and public health, environment and heritage and environmental science, and more.

Knowledge and skills acquired through the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science are transferable across many sectors such as government, education, the arts, commerce, and industry. Depending on majors and minors chosen, opportunities may include administration, applied sociology, biomedical research and education, biotechnology, community health, community services, computer graphics, ecotourism, environmental education, environmental health, environmental protection, graphic design, languages, management, marketing, media, medical marketing, policy development, professional writing, public administration, publishing, regional planning, research, sport and exercise research, sports promotion, teaching, the heritage industry, waste and pollution control, and welfare services.

Program Requirements and Notes

1. No courses may be counted towards more than one major or minor within each Faculty.
2. A maximum of five introductory level courses can be included in the 15 Arts and Social Sciences courses in a combined program. Two additional introductory level language courses can be included to bring the total of the introductory Arts and Social Sciences courses in a combined degree to seven introductory level courses.
3. An introductory level course has a number less than 200 in its course code. An advanced level course has a number greater than 200 and less than 400 in its course code.
