Taksil provides strategic leadership as the head of a portfolio that has responsibility for strategic engagement and external partnership collaborations with industry and other stakeholders across multiple areas of university operations.
He has worked as a catalyst in technology/knowledge transfer of R&D to foster strategic partnerships to commercialise research and enhance innovative new product development, intellectual property management and grant and tender bid development between global companies and universities for more than a decade and has led major national and international funding bids and management of ARC and NHMRC centres of excellence. He has been involved in successful national and international partnerships and grants with the Bill and Melinda Gates, and the David and Lucille Packard Foundations, Marie Curie and the National Institute of Health (NIH), DARPA and Erasmus.
He holds international technology transfer professional accreditation status (RTTP) and is also an Australian Research Management Society (ARMS) accredited Training Fellow and was a business academic at the University of Sydney and the University of Western Sydney.
