Taught by industry professionals, the Bachelor of Communication provides you with the essential combination of theoretical and practice-based digital, social media and communication skills across the communication industries. The program offers you an opportunity to gain both a breadth and depth of knowledge in the core communication disciplines, building your skills and preparing you to work in media, marketing and communication. The ability for you to select a combination of discipline study areas to suit your skills, interests and career aspirations means that you will graduate with a range of proficiencies and flexibility of employment choices in an industry characterised by rapid change.

You can choose to major in Creative Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations and Marketing and benefit from the opportunity to work with real clients developing real communication solutions in our on-campus student communications agency Digitall, or through projects and work placements within industry. As you progress through your degree, your interest in the industry flourishes as briefs from your clients roll in. Real clients with real communication needs waiting to be met, with real deadlines for real markets. You’ll work in agency teams in Digitall. Each of you has a role to play in your team. One is creative director while another leads strategy and yet another liaises with your client and keeps your team on track. Ideas snowball, whiteboards fill with ideas, the best ones turning into communication campaigns that are ready to present to your client – ready to go to market. Imagine this experience on your resume!
Plus, you can travel overseas to global consumer marketplaces such as New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Vietnam on international industry study tours or undertake life-changing overseas study with a semester abroad at one of our global partner universities through the Study Overseas program.

In order to graduate you must:
- Complete 6 required introductory level (100 coded) courses
- Complete 14 required communication courses towards 2 majors or 1 major and 2 minors
- Complete 4 elective courses
- Complete no more than 10 introductory level (100 coded) courses, including the core course
- Complete no more than 6 courses from the School of Business or Faculty of Science, Health, Education and Engineering
- Register your selected major and/or minor
