Graduate Certificate in Education

Enhance leadership and engagement in your professional field.

The Graduate Certificate in Education provides students with access to in depth knowledge in the discipline of education. The courses within the program provide opportunities for students to engage with theory and link it directly to practice in an education context. It brings educators together in a collaborative learning community and provides options to enhance leadership and engagement in areas such as curriculum development, evaluation, teaching, learning, assessment and teaching English as a second langauage (TESOL).

The first intake for this program will be Semester 2, 2014.

Admission requirements

A student entering the Graduate Certificate in Education program will normally be required to hold a three year Bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) qualification in Education or a Bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) qualification from a non-Education discipline from a recognised institution.

  • Students are required to successfully complete four courses as specified in the program structure.
  • Refer to related policies, rules, plans and procedures.
  • Not available to international students on a Student visa.
  • Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods including, for example, essays, multimedia presentations, reports, research proposal, literature review, portfolio, position papers, project report or examination.
