Students continue nursing undergraduate studies at a higher level by specialising in an area of interest.
Studies develop research capabilities through coursework and a scholarly research project. These capabilities will be complemented by clinical studies and will support progress into professional roles or further learning. This emphasis on clinical practice provides the opportunity to consider and address contemporary health issues within a supported learning environment. Graduates from the program will have the opportunity with clinical practice knowledge and developed capacity, to undertake research within a nursing practice context.

Admission requirements
Students will have satisfied the requirements for the award of an AQF Level 7 Bachelor of Nursing Science award (or equivalent), be registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), met the English language requirement and have demonstrated a high level of achievement evidenced by a GPA of 5.0 over the second and third year of the degree program.

Membership
Graduates would be eligible to apply for membership to the Australian College of Nursing.

To graduate from the Bachelor of Nursing Science (Honours) a student is required to complete 48 units of coursework at AQF Level 8 and 48 units of study in the research component.
