ICT knowledge and skills play an essential role in almost all organisations, and ICT professionals are well-placed to drive business innovation.

This program has a practical focus and offers specialisations in many information and communication technology areas. You learn every phase of developing and architecting a software system, from initial planning and design through to actual programming, team management and associated business issues. Tasks include: constructing networks; creating software packages; the creation, management and deployment of databases; and networking, telecommunications and integration of diverse systems. Internships offer industry experience with successful information technology companies.

  1. industry certification courses eg Microsoft certification (3 streams: programming, knowledge management, networking in 3 levels: practitioner, engineer, trainer)
  2. CISCO Certified Networking Engineer
  3. internship (structured industry experience)
  4. courses from other universities (cross-institutional enrolment)
  5. courses from private providers
