Program overview

Sport is a part of Australian culture, and the sport industry is one of the country's fastest growing industries. The Bachelor of Sport and Industry provides a unique blend of university courses coupled with specific sports industry accredited modules. Students have the flexibility to pursue a career in a range of different sport industries such as golf, surfing, surf lifesaving, and sailing.

The industry modules are nationally accredited within that specific sport, and students complete these modules while studying at university. The innovative combination of a university qualification with an accredited sports industry qualification will make graduates more employable within this sector.

The specifically designed university courses are built on the foundation courses in sport and exercise science and provide students with the understanding and knowledge of human movement. Students can complement this knowledge with other university qualifications such as sports marketing and management, or health promotion. In second and third year this understanding is extended to how the human body responds to physical activity. Students have the flexibility in their second and third year to choose the specific sport industry pathway.
