Program overview
Human resource management is concerned with the behaviour of people within organisations. As more emphasis is placed on the need for organisations to operate as efficiently and effectively as possible, human resource management professionals play an increasingly significant role in ensuring that people are employed, managed and trained in ways that support organisational goals.
In the Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management), you will major in human resource management in addition to gaining specific foundation knowledge in business. You undertake two core courses in conjunction with business foundation courses such as economics, management, marketing, research methods, accounting, business law and ethics, and information and communication technologies.
You will also take specialised courses in introductory human resource management, workplace relations, staffing and remuneration, training and development, employment and industrial law, leadership and team dynamics, management strategy, and the management of organisation change.
You can apply to undertake first-year courses in this program at the USC Noosa Centre. Please note that the option to study at Noosa is not available to international students.
