Program overview
Sport is a part of Australian culture, and the sport industry is one of the country's fastest growing industries. The Bachelor of Sport and Industry provides you with a unique blend of university courses coupled with specific sports industry accredited modules. You have the flexibility to pursue a career in a range of different sport industries such as golf, surfing, surf lifesaving, and sailing.
The industry modules are nationally accredited within that specific sport, and you complete these modules while studying at university. The innovative combination of a university qualification with an accredited sports industry qualification will make graduates more employable within this sector.
The specifically designed university courses are built on the foundation courses in sport and exercise science and provide you with the understanding and knowledge of human movement. You can complement this knowledge with other university qualifications such as sports marketing and management, or health promotion. In second and third year this understanding is extended to how the human body responds to physical activity. You have the flexibility in your second and third year to choose the specific sport industry pathway.

Career opportunities
If you choose to enter the workforce rather than proceed to graduate studies opportunities may include sport and recreation officer, sports development officer, sports marketing and event manager, and sports specific coach or administrator.
