Program overview

Graduates of the eight-course Graduate Diploma in Business Administration will undertake skill-focused programs of study and practical work to develop their professional understanding and problem-solving abilities.

The Graduate Diploma builds on the four-course Graduate Certificate in Business Administration and articulates into the Master of Business Administration.

Flexible study modes-online, on campus, or multi-modal

This program gives you the flexibility to change study modes during your study. For example, if you're studying on campus and find that you are getting busier at work, you have the ability to swap to the online program. You can then tailor your study around your work commitments. This option is not available for international students studying on a student visa.

Admission requirements

A Bachelor's degree from a recognised higher education institution and a minimum of two years' relevant work experience are the requirements for entering the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration program.

OR

Applicants without an undergraduate degree but having at least three years' relevant work experience and also:

  • must pass a qualifying Business Select or approved equivalent examination (eg GMAT)
  • may be required to undertake an interview
  • must pass the qualifying four-course Graduate Certificate in Business Administration prior to continuing with the remaining courses in the GDBusAdmin.

Enrolment via this pathway is limited to 10 percent of total applicants.

AND

English Language Requirement:

Applicants whose first language is other than English must demonstrate an appropriate level of English proficiency by providing evidence of successful completion, within the last five years, of one of the qualifications below:

  • IELTS - 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in all subtests, or
  • TOEFL - 575 with TWE of 5 (paper-based test) OR 230 (computer-based test), or
  • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English - Level A Pass, or
  • previous degree completed in English.

International students need to refer to the English language requirements.

Program requirements

Students are required to successfully complete 8 courses from those listed below. Students wishing to study fill-time will be required to take the courses as offered in each session of study. Refer to the Academic Rules for further information.
