Program Overview

Students major in human resource management in addition to gaining specific foundation knowledge in business. Studies include two core courses in conjunction with business foundation courses such as economics, management, marketing, research methods, accounting, business law and ethics, and information and communication technologies.

Students take specialised courses in introductory human resource management, workplace relations, staffing and remuneration, training and development, employment and industrial law, leadership and team dynamics, management strategy, and the management of organisation change.

Professional Membership
This program has been designed to satisfy the academic requirements for graduate membership of the Australian Human Resource Institute, the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Training and Development.

Career Opportunities

Career opportunities include a human resources officer, industrial relations officer, personnel consultant, personnel officer, and a trainer.
