A combined degree, the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business enables you to undertake studies in Arts, Social Sciences and Business, opening the door to a wide range of study and career possibilities.

You can choose to combine complementary specialisations such as communication and marketing, environment and heritage and tourism, international studies and international business, information systems and computer-based art and design, management and communications, and more.

Career Opportunities

Knowledge and skills acquired through the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business are transferable across many sectors such as government, education, the arts, commerce, and industry. Depending on majors and minors chosen, opportunities may include accounting, administration, advertising, applied sociology, auditing, banking and finance, community services, computer graphics, computing, customer service, ecotourism,
graphic design, hotel management, human resource management, importing / exporting, industrial relations, languages, management, marketing, media, policy development, politics, professional writing, public administration, publishing, regional planning, research, retail and sales, systems analysis, taxation, teaching, the heritage industry, tourism and welfare services.

Program Requirements and Notes

  1. Required introductory courses may count towards some majors and minors.
  2. No courses may be counted towards more than one major or minor within each Faculty.
  3. A maximum of five introductory level courses can be included in the 15 Arts and Social Sciences courses in a combined program. Two additional introductory level language courses can be included to bring the total of the introductory Arts and Social Sciences courses in a combined degree to seven introductory level courses.
  4. An introductory level course has a number less than 200 in its course code. An advanced level course has a number greater than 200 and less than 400 in its course code.
