Undergraduate Certificate in Engineering Design

We live in a world of technological change, driven by increasing demands for better, more efficient, sustainable products. Engineering is at the forefront of this change, providing the knowledge, technology and skills to meet the requirements of the community.

In this program you will:

  • Learn the fundamentals of engineering and machine design as well as the basics of mechatronics and electrical engineering
  • Receive up to 48 units of credit towards the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours), or Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronic) (Honours), upon successful completion of the program.

  • The Undergraduate Certificate in Engineering is a pathway into the Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronic) (Honours), or Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) (Honours), subject to meeting admission requirements. 
  • Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48-unit points per semester (normally 4 courses) and following the recommended study sequence.
  • The unit value of all courses is 12 units unless otherwise specified.
  • It is each student’s responsibility to enrol correctly according to your course requisites, program rules and requirements and be aware of the academic calendar dates.
