Japanese In-country (Extended Major)

Study and live in Japan for a full one-year immersion in Japanese culture and language. You will advance your language skills through introductory and intermediate language courses and develop the creative, transformative and critical thinking abilities that come with being multilingual. You’ll complete advanced courses to deepen your understanding of Japanese society and culture, develop your language proficiency and improve intercultural competence and communication.

For a major in Japanese In-country (Extended Major) , students must successfully complete the equivalent of 12 courses (144 units):
