The Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours) Construction Major Study Plan is valid for students commencing in Semester 1, 2014.
Courses denoted with # are undertaken via the University of Southern Queensland (USQ). * These courses are supported with a weekly workshops on campus at USC.
Students completing USQ courses MUST complete and submit the USQ Cross Institutional Study Application form to Student Administration in C Block for submission to USQ each semester, prior to the USQ cut-off date.
Practice courses are undertaken at the University of Southern Queensland Toowoomba Campus during Residential School in the USQ Intra Semester Break or during Semester 3 at USQ, which is over the Summer period.
Please refer to Program Notes under the Program Structure. Students need to refer directly to the USQ website for confirmation of Residential School dates.
* Students commencing in 2014 will enrol in USC delivered courses and unless it is a requirement of their chosen Minor will not be affected by the partnership with USQ. (Note: not all Minors are available to international students on a student visa). International students on a Student visa will not enrol in these courses in 2014. They will be replaced by USC delivered courses from 2015.
Students must select one (1) of the following Engineering Minor study areas:
- Climate Change and Coastal Zone Studies
- Environmental Engineering (for Construction major students only)
- Environmental Studies for Engineers
- Mechanical Engineering (not available to International students on a Student visa)
- Physics for Engineers (not available to International students on a Student visa)
- Planning Studies
- Property
- Wider Engineering Studies
