The Associate Degree in Business provides an alternative entry pathway to a business degree at USC.
This two-year program offers guaranteed entry to an undergraduate degree program at USC on completion. You learn generic business principles through core and business foundation courses, then choose an area of specialisation and complete four subjects (a minor) in one of the following areas: accounting; entrepreneurship; events management; financial planning; human resource management; information systems; international business; management; marketing; property; small business management; or tourism leisure and event management.
USC also offers an Associate Degree in Arts, an Associate Degree in Science and an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.

Program requirements
In order to graduate you must:
- Complete 2 core courses.
- Complete 7 required introductory (100 level) courses.
- Complete 7 electives, 6 must be advanced (200/300 level) courses.
- (Optional) Use electives to complete a major (8 courses) or minor (4 courses).
- Complete no more than 10 introductory (100 level) courses.
- Complete no more than 3 courses from the School of Communication, School of Social Sciences or Faculty of Science, Health, Education and Engineering.
- Register your selected Majors and Minors with Student Administration.
Program notes
- Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48 unit points per semester (normally 4 courses).
- Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods including essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests and examinations. Not all courses will necessarily include all methods.
