Accountancy offers many opportunities. Today’s accountant is more likely to be business advising and planning than number crunching.
In this program you major in accounting and gain skills in financial management, business consulting and financial advising. First year courses include marketing, management, economics, business law, and informatics. Specialised courses include financial accounting, business finance, law of business associations, management accounting, company accounting, taxation law and practice, auditing and professional practice, and contemporary accounting issues. Industry links generate employment for graduates. A second major is available from the Bachelor of Business.

Accountant, auditor, company secretary, stockbroker, financial administration, taxation consultant, banker, business development manager, consultant, investment and business analyst.
Professional recognition
Graduates may become associate members of CPA Australia; Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia; National Institute of Accountants. The program is accredited by these bodies.

In order to graduate you must:
- Complete a minimum of 24 courses including all core and required courses listed below, and electives.
