Program overview

The Associate Degree in Business provides an alternative entry pathway to a business degree at USC.

In two years of full-time study, you will develop a broad business knowledge, including an understanding of generic business principles. You will also choose an area of specialisation, and complete four courses (a minor) in one of the following areas:

Select 3 elective courses from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Faculty of Business or the Faculty of Science, Health and Education. Student should consult the program adviser for advice regarding electives particularly if considering progressing to the Bachelor of Business on completion of the associate degree.

As part of your USC program, you may apply to participate in the GO Program to undertake courses with an overseas higher education provider

Program requirements and notes

  1. All students must complete a minimum of 16 courses including core courses, in the Associate Degree in Business.
  2. Refer to the Academic Rules.

  4. International students need to refer to the University's English language proficiency requirements.
  5. Students should consider enrolling in relevant enabling courses.
  6. Only a full-time study option is available to international students on a Student Visa.
  7. Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods including, for example, essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests, and examinations.
