Categories and requirements
Candidates undertaking masters level programs within the Faculty of Business may apply for a scholarship to assist with the cost of their program. Scholarships are available in the following categories:

| Quarter Scholarship | for award of 15-19 points from the tables below |
| Half Scholarship | for award of 20-29 points from the tables below |
| Full Scholarship | for award of 30+ or more points from the tables below |
The scholarships are based on the score attained in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and/or the total number of points awarded to students based on the tables listed below:

4. Additional points
At the discretion of the Dean, Faculty of Business, one additional point may be awarded for each of the following:
- possession of a masters degree
- possession of a doctoral degree
- substantial employment experience at a high level of managerial responsibility, and/or
- employment experience with a global firm or organisation
Applications for scholarships
Applicants must provide a 500-word Applicant Statement outlining their career objectives, their motivation for undertaking the master’s level degree, and why they would like to study at USC. Original documentation (or certified copies) to substantiate your claims for points under each of the above categories must be included with your statement and a cover letter addressed to:

Notes
- The final decision on points awarded rests with the Admissions Panel, chaired by the Dean, Faculty of Business, and in case of dispute the Dean’s decision is final and no discussion will be entered into. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be notified in writing by the Dean, Faculty of Business.
- The total value of these scholarships is subject to an annual limit such that not all applicants may receive a scholarship in a given year even if they seem to have achieved the required number of points. Scholarships are awarded continuously as applications are received (until the dollar limit is reached).
- Candidates may receive only one of the available scholarships - that will be the highest-valued scholarship for which the applicant qualifies, unless the annual dollar limit has been reached. For example, a successful scholarship applicant who has obtained 25 points from the above tables including a GMAT score of 750 will receive a Quarter Scholarship for MBA tuition fees - but will not receive an additional A$1000 Excellence Scholarship for a GMAT score of above 700.
- All scholarships are paid as credit against your tuition fees, and do not include compensation for travel or living expenses or any other expenses incurred. Scholarships are only valid whilst the candidate is enrolled in their original program of study and are not transferrable. Scholarships are not valid after discontinuation or withdrawal from the original program of study or after the maximum completion date of the original program of study.
- Applicants who hold Bachelor’s degrees with grading schemes different to USC's 7-point scale will have their grades converted to USC's 7-point scale using the standard conversion processes utilised for admission to degree programs at USC.
- Scholarships apply for a maximum of 144 credit points of study and thus do not apply for course units undertaken to replace units that have been failed or withdrawn with financial penalty.
- Quarter, Half and Full Scholarship recipients will need to demonstrate satisfactory progress, that is GPA ≥ 4.0 throughout their studies. Failure to do so may result in the scholarship being revoked after the requirements for the Graduate Diploma have been satisfactorily completed.
- The Faculty of Business reserves the right to revise the basis for scholarship awards without notice.
