Program overview

Sport and technology are two of the major growth industries within Australia. The Australian passion for sport is well documented, and the technology industry is changing lives around the world. The Bachelor of Sport and Technology program provides students with an understanding of what is required in the sport industry and the ability to develop new technology in this industry.

In first-year students develop the foundation skills required for sport and information technology. The sport specific courses are built on the foundation courses in sport and exercise science and provide understanding and knowledge of human movement. The information technology specific courses equip students with the knowledge and understanding of software design and development, as well as the principles of hardware development. In second-year and third-year the program is evenly split between these two disciplines and the understanding within each extended.

Career opportunities

If students choose to enter the workforce rather than proceed to graduate studies opportunities may include allied health industry technician, software designer, sports equipment manufacturer, and sports equipment technician.
