Program overview
This program provides an educational opportunity for registered nurses to advanced their knowledge and skills with a view to providing leadership in practice in the future.
Students will be able to choose electives which enhance their practice and broaden their knowledge as it relates to health and nursing. The inclusion of study in leadership will enable participants to explore opportunities for practice development and to extend their knowledge in relation to clinical governance, legal and ethical issues.
The program will be delivered in internal mode. Courses use a combination of online learning with on campus intensive workshops. Assessment will be tailored to meet the learning needs of the students.
Admission requirements
Students are required to be Registered Nurses, normally with an undergraduate degree in nursing or related discipline.
International students will demonstrate an IELTS score of 6.5 on entry to the program and have gained registration as a nurse and a current or temporary licence to practise as a registered nurse in Queensland.
