Program overview

Conducting business across borders and cultures requires specialised skills and knowledge. The Bachelor of Business (International Business) provides a solid foundation in all areas of business as well as specialised studies in international business. This enables you to work successfully in all areas of business within the international environment.

As an International Business student you focus on business issues, cross-cultural differences and their impact on business, politics and government relations, international diplomacy and trade, e-business, and international finance, integrating to provide advanced skills tailored to business in small, medium and large multinational organisations.

Students can apply to undertake first-year courses in this program at the USC Noosa Centre. Please note that the option to study at Noosa is not available to international students.

Professional membership

Students and graduates may apply to the Australian Institute of Export, the Australian Institute of Management and the Academy of International Business.

Career opportunities

Knowledge and skills acquired through the Bachelor of Business (International Business) are transferable across many sectors such as government, education, the arts, commerce, and industry. Depending on majors and minors chosen, opportunities may include an exporter, export management consultant, foreign affairs officer, human resource officer, importer, international business trainer/teacher, international logistics manager, international marketer or marketing consultant, international purchasing officer, international trade officer, international business translator, management positions in Australian firms located overseas, management positions in international firms located in Australia and a strategic management consultant.
