Program Overview
Sport and exercise science applies science knowledge and procedures to assess and analyse the human body's response to acute and chronic physical activity.
This includes general physical activity such as fitness regimens and recreational sport, as well as elite sport. Sport and exercise scientists attempt to enhance health and physical performance utilising activity analysis and specific performance objectives.
The Bachelor of Science (Sport and Exercise Science) provides in-depth knowledge in areas such as exercise physiology, biomechanics, sound nutritional practice and sports performance, as well as limitations to physical performance.

If you choose to enter the workforce rather than proceed to graduate studies you may obtain employment in the following fields: cardiac and pulmonary testing and rehabilitation, community recreation and fitness, corporate health and fitness, exercise physiology, exercise prescription and programming, fitness assessment, personal health and fitness, personal training, physical education, sport and exercise scientist or researcher, sports biomechanics, sports management or promotion, and state and national sport development.
