Bridie played an instrumental role in the creation of the UniSC High Performance Program and to this day supports and inspires the student athletes.
We follow Bridie's journey as she chairs the Community Reference group.
On the 24th January, the Sunshine Coast Council launched the ‘10+10+ vison’ for what the region should peruse as delivering partners ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Paralympic and Olympics Games.
Bridie said “I am privileged to be working alongside a strong and diverse group of people. Collectively we represent many areas including First Nations, sports, tourism, youth, education, disability, business and the broader community. Having met on a number of occasions, the group has embraced their participation: sharing their knowledge and experiences to create a comprehensive understanding of their legacy aspirations for the region as well as the many of the challenges we face”.
Transport, community programs, the environment, accommodation, and sports are in the plan ahead of the 2032 Games.
Along with Bridie, UniSC Alumni Blake Cochrane is a member of the group representing Olympians and Paralympians.
