I chose to enrol in the Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and Neuroscience to build skills and knowledge to enhance my current practice. As a secondary school educator working primarily in a student support context, the course has been invaluable in developing an understanding of the neurobiological underpinnings of mental disorders which emerge in youth as well as current approaches to diagnosis and treatment.

The structure of the course and assessment items were dynamic in both their applicability to my own practice as well as fostering a multi-disciplinary approach in working with other students with different backgrounds and professions.
