Schools engagement events

We host a variety of events on-campus for your students and school community. Attending our events allows your students to experience the campus firsthand and meet real UniSC students and staff.

Open Day

Audience: Years 10-12 students and parents

Dates:

  • UniSC Moreton Bay - Sunday 21 July 2024
  • UniSC Sunshine Coast - Sunday 4 August 2024

UniSC's Open Days allow future students and their parents to speak to our academics and staff to get their questions answered. It's an opportunity to look deeper into the programs on offer and discover all the information and tools they need to get their university study underway.

Experience UniSC

Audience: Years 9 and 10

Dates: 

UniSC Moreton Bay – Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 October 2024

UniSC Fraser Coast – Wednesday 30 October 2024

UniSC Sunshine Coast – Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November 2024

Experience UniSC is a dedicated event for Year 9 and 10 students who are starting to prepare for life after high school. Students explore possible careers through participating in a variety of workshops or study areas of interest. Students will leave feeling empowered and inspired after being immersed in a university experience.

Headstart Information Evenings

Audience: Parents and students in Years 10-12

Dates: TBA

Designed to help parents and students in Years 10-12 understand all their options when it comes to starting university, these events include a special presentation about our Headstart program (where students can complete university subjects while they're in Year 10 and 12). There's also the opportunity to speak to UniSC staff and take a tour of the campus.

Study area immersive days

Our hands-on, immersive study area experiences are hosted on campus throughout the year. These events will provide students with a taste of possible study and career options to help them ahead of Year 12 and post-school decision-making. These unique experiences will provide students with opportunities to:

  • Explore career and program options by attending information sessions about their chosen study areas, presented by our academics
  • Experience the campus and our facilities
  • Develop a deeper understanding of what university life is like and the career pathways available to better prepare them for the years ahead.

Audience: Year 11 students

Career Advisors' Breakfasts

Audience: Career Advisors

Dates: TBA

Our Career Advisor breakfasts are an opportunity to connect with UniSC staff and discuss opportunities for your school and students, as well as share information about UniSC programs, senior school pathways, access schemes and support services.

Principals' Breakfasts

Audience: Principals

Dates: TBA

Principals from each region are invited to join UniSC staff for an annual boardroom breakfast. Hosted by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, the working breakfast will discuss the university's vision for the future and the opportunities that we can work on together to provide for your school and students.
