Following the enormous success of its first online Open Day last year, USC Australia is again offering a personalised and immersive online Open Day experience on Sunday 18 July from 9am.
Prospective students and their families are invited to register for the event that will feature 360-degree virtual tours, videos by teaching staff, student vlogs, and step-by-step guides on how to apply for university.
USC’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students) Professor Denise Wood AM said USC held the first such online Open Day in response to COVID-19 restrictions in 2020, and the event attracted thousands of registered users to “visit USC via their computers”.
“People were able to access the information they needed in a convenient way and appreciated that they could personalise their experience to their own fields of interest as they explored, so it was very popular,” Professor Wood said.
“We’ve taken that model and improved it further, offering greater insight into what to expect from study and life at USC and its campuses at the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Fraser Coast, Gympie and Caboolture.
“Prospective students and their parents can view key areas of our campuses, learn about USC’s 100-plus study programs, find out what’s involved in being a university student, and now also book an appointment for general study advice.
“They will be able to chat online with our staff and students to gain insights into what university life is like.”
Professor Wood encouraged people to register in advance to make the most of their online Open Day experience.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has really shifted the landscape for many people, so we are looking forward to welcoming senior high school students who are considering their study options, as well as those who are considering exciting new careers,” she said.
