USC campuses to re-open fully on Monday 3 April

Updated 11am Saturday 1 April

USC campuses at the Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Fraser Coast and Brisbane will re-open fully on Monday 3 April.

The main campus at Sippy Downs is open today (Saturday 1 April) for four classes of the subject COR109 - Communication and Thought.

The severe weather system associated with ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie left USC facilities at the Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast and the Ochre Heath Centre at Sippy Downs without power on Friday, brought down some trees and caused some minor damage around campus.

Energex restored power to those facilities late yesterday afternoon, while crews from USC's Asset Management Services have assessed the safety of all buildings on campus and are progressively removing fallen trees and branches.

Motorists are urged to use caution in regards to driving in areas of the region that remain affected by flooding.
