Clayfield graduate eyes paramedic study

Ben McLellan of Clayfield is gravitating towards a career in the emergency services after recently completing a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Ben, 21, received his degree at a special USC Graduation Ceremony at Sippy Downs on 1 October, and is keen to further expand his knowledge about the human body and how to assist people who are injured or become ill.

The graduate of St Paul’s School at Bald Hills said he now planned to enrol in USC’s Bachelor of Paramedic Science.

“In my career, I aim to achieve a greater understanding of how I can help people who are in need,” he said.

Ben said his desire to undertake further study had been influenced by how much he had enjoyed studying at USC over the past three years.

“I liked that USC had a relaxed vibe about it and how friendly the other students attending were,” he said.

“I also liked how interactive the classes I had were and how the lecturers actually cared about your success.”

Applications are now open to start studying at USC in 2016. For more information visit the USC website or contact Student Administration on 5430 2890 or email information@usc.edu.au.
