Maryborough graduate is marketing martial arts

Kate Morris of Maryborough is already kicking career goals after graduating from USC with a Bachelor of Business (Marketing).

Kate, 21, who attended Aldridge State High then St Mary’s College, is now a marketing assistant with Infinity Martial Arts – a company that has martial arts studios across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Ipswich.

“My role includes various tasks such as working on the new company website, implementing our new customer relationship management system and writing promotional print material,” said Kate, 21.

“I’ve been there four months and it’s an amazing job because I’m given lots of independence and there’s lots of variety, so I’m not stuck with one task.

“Studying at university not only taught me all about marketing and PR, it also improved my confidence in my own ability to do the work. I was lucky enough to score a job on the Sunshine Coast almost immediately after uni.”

Kate said there were several reasons for choosing to study at USC.

“The course looked great, I loved the campus and the Sunshine Coast lifestyle and it was nice to be relatively close to my family and friends in Maryborough, but only an hour from Brisbane if I wanted to head into the city for a night or a weekend.”

Applications are now open to start studying at USC mid-year. For more information visit the mid-year website, contact Student Administration on 5430 2890 or email information@usc.edu.au
