Elizabeth Wheeley is an accomplished researcher and educator with over 20 years of experience across diverse educational settings. As a researcher, she employs both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to explore various domains within the field of education, including curriculum, pedagogy, educational leadership, international student engagement, and neurodiverse learners. A central focus of her work is amplifying participants' voices and understanding their lived experiences.

Elizabeth's extensive career has spanned teaching in primary and secondary schools in Queensland, Australia, and the United Kingdom, as well as tertiary education in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Currently, her efforts are dedicated to preparing the next generation of teachers through initial teacher education programs. She has also facilitated professional learning for educators in Australia and internationally, demonstrating her deep understanding of education and international education contexts. As an educator, Elizabeth's practice is grounded in relational pedagogies and a nuanced understanding of curriculum. Her personal research agenda aims to deepen the understanding of curriculum and learning in non-formal and non-traditional learning environments.
