Research, learn and explore the world's most exceptional sand island

Uniquely located in a UNESCO World Heritage site at the northern end of three adjoining biospheres

  • Large, fenced grassy site behind sand dunes on K’gari’s stunning Eastern Beach

The Centre is a base for students, researchers, school groups and island visitors to experience and learn about K’gari’s unique culture, sand dunes, rainforests, freshwater lakes and wildlife.

Research and field studies investigate and aim to protect its rare and unusual lifeforms and ancient yet evolving landscapes.

The Fraser Island Research and Learning Centre at Dilli Village has comfortable bunkhouses, self-contained cabins and an open grassed area for camping.
