Increase your productivity with AI tools
This workshop includes the following topics:
- When and how to use different text-based AI tools.
- What is AI? What can it do? What are its limitations?
- Overview of AI multi-media tools: text to image/video/voiceover.
Take your productivity to the next level. Whether your work involves writing emails, job descriptions, manuals, meeting notes, training materials or novels; editing, or having to obtain information from large amounts of texts; in this workshop you will learn how to streamline your writing with AI. You will gain insights on how to optimise the output from ChatGPT and other text-based AI tools, summarise websites, YouTube videos, and more. The section on AI multi-media tools provides an overview of tools for generating images, videos, and voiceover from text. This overview will provide you with the foundational skills to further explore AI multi-media tools in your own time. To ensure you understand the capabilities and shortcoming of AI tools, the workshop includes a short section explaining the basics of AI in layman’s terms.

- Do I need to sign up for ChatGPT? – Yes, please sign up as soon as possible to ensure you have access. The free version is sufficient.
- Do I need to bring a laptop? – Most exercises are best completed on a laptop. For some of the exercises a tablet computer may be sufficient.

Meet the presenter
Dr Bianka Sabert has a passion for helping individuals become more effective and efficient through the use of technology. She has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Management and IT for Business students at the University of the Sunshine Coast since 2015. Prior to her teaching career, she assumed various IT roles at a private education provider, a telecommunications company, an international not-for-profit organisation and at UniSC.
