Secondary school careers program

Secondary school is a time of change and challenge for many students. Our careers program aims to raise and maintain the aspirations of young people by highlighting the pathways available to them.

We aim to deepen the students' sense of self and challenge them to assess their suitability for a range of opportunities available to them once their school journey ends and their next chapter of life begins. We use content and experiences linked to the Australian Curriculum and Blueprint for Career Development throughout.

Using a strengths-based approach, students are invited to practice setting goals, explore their hobbies, interests and values, and investigate links between personality types and career choices. Through these activities students develop their self-awareness and social management skills. They complete reflective practice to define their ideal study and career pathways.
