Nathan wins USC’s first Spartan Court Race

Nathan Hayes of Bongaree has become the inaugural men’s winner of the Spartan Court Race on day one of the University of the Sunshine Coast’s 2016 Orientation Week.

Nathan, who is enrolled in USC’s award-winning Tertiary Preparation Pathway program, completed the 410m course in quick time, leaving the rest of the field in his wake.

He finished ahead of Law student Matthew Stevenson, Business student Thomas Boyle and Nursing Science student Fergal Foley-Brown.

Sport and Exercise Science student Ebony Wilson claimed the medal for the fastest female after outpacing Nursing Science student Kristy Carruthers.
